Doug Emets discusses how campaigns use social media to engage votes on KCRA

Communications expert Doug Elmets said social media posts and even online ads are not likely to decide who wins an election, because the most likely voters are not relying on the Internet for information. "When it comes right down to it though, the highest-propensity voters are (those) who watch TV or read the newspaper," Elmets said. "And at the end of the day, for a campaign, you're going after people who are voting, not people who might vote."
