Governor signs bill for Reagan Statue in Capitol
Governor Brown cited Reagan's courage and leadership during the signing of AB 2358 and he pointed out the Republican icon oversaw needed tax hikes just like he wants to do with the help of voters in November.
AB 2358 establishes the approval to begin constructing a memorial statue paying tribute to one of the most influential leaders in both our state and country's history.
AB 2358 is sponsored by Elmets Communications and supported by the Reagan Family, The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library, the Reagan Legacy Foundation and dozens of politicians, friends and former staffers of President Reagan.
At no cost to taxpayers, AB 2358 will be funded entirely through private donations.
AB 2358 successfully passed through the legislature with overwhelming bipartisan support.
