In a state where fresh water is one of the most valuable resources around, the Modesto Irrigation District (MID) has taken the lead in explaining to its rate-payers the complex process that brings water and power to their homes and businesses.

Below is the first of a series of five videos from February's public information meeting to discuss water and power and their impact on the community. Allen Short, General Manager of MID, along with staff spoke with the public about drinking and irrigation water; water flow for fisheries; boating, fishing, swimming camping at Don Pedro Reservoir; existing low-cost, zero-emission hydroelectric power and many more important issues.
